The British Academy (BAFTA) has achieved almost all of its 2020 diversity targets for its members. This includes 19.85% from ethnic minorities, 12.84% Deaf, disabled, and neurodivergent people, and 13.29% LGBTQ+. However, the target of 50% female membership has not been met; currently, it stands at 43%, although 51% of new members since 2020 have been women. BAFTA has also set new targets for 2030, including increasing the number of members from low socioeconomic backgrounds and focusing on women in the games industry and craft roles.
