In "Skiff," Cecilia Verheyden's third feature film, we follow 15-year-old Malou during a challenging summer. Verheyden, who wrote the screenplay herself in collaboration with Vincent Vanneste, describes "Skiff" as her most personal project. The film explores themes of sexuality, gender, and identity. Actress Femke Vanhove plays Malou, a role for which she underwent intensive rowing training. "Skiff" has achieved international success and won the top prize at the Gijón International Film Festival in Spain. The preview premiere is scheduled for Ostend.
