The VAF Wildcards, Belgium's largest film awards, with a total of €200,000, have been presented again. These awards, part of VAF Next Generation, are intended for graduating master's students from Flemish film and art colleges. The winners, selected from 54 submissions, receive financial support and coaching to realize their first project after graduation. In addition to the main prizes, Booster Cards were also awarded for additional support such as workshops and coaching. Successful predecessors of the Wildcard include filmmakers such as Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah.
