During the Northern Film Festival, the .finalfinal platform was launched to address the screenwriter shortage. This platform offers writers without a network the opportunity to be anonymously judged by a professional jury. Co-founder Robin van Ommen emphasizes that the Dutch film world often revolves around connections and, with .finalfinal, aims to give talented lateral entry writers a chance. There are four open calls per year, with eight-page scripts on a specific theme being submitted. The three best receive coaching, and their scripts are sent to producers.
