The Netherlands is barely represented in the European Film Awards nominations. Only the Hungarian-Dutch coproduction "I Accidentally Wrote a Book" is in contention for the Young Audience Award. This film, directed by NĂ³ra Lakos and produced by the Dutch company Bind, is based on a children's book by Annet Huizing. The film debuted at Cinekid and won the Just Film Children's Best Film Award in Tallinn. Other Dutch productions, such as "The North," didn't make the shortlist, but they didn't reach the top fifteen.
