Dutch director Bart Schrijver discusses his new film "The North," shortlisted for the European Film Awards in January 2026. The film follows two men on a journey through the Scottish Highlands and the depths of their own minds. "The North" was produced by Tuesday Studio as a necessary step to remain financially viable, outside of conventional financing mechanisms. The film has achieved international success and has been in theaters in the Netherlands for 11 weeks, having sold over 120,000 tickets.
