Eveline Hagenbeek, screenwriter and former journalist, wrote the script for "King of the Wanderers," the opening film of Cinekid 2025. This film, also showing in theaters, is inspired by her experiences with the homeless. Besides this film, Hagenbeek contributed to the web series "Flying Hummelo" and the short film "Sudah." Her work is characterized by a mix of weighty themes and lightheartedness, with humor playing a significant role. "King of the Wanderers" is directed by Janne Schmidt, who adds a visual style that depicts the hallucinations of a schizophrenic man.
