The Dutch feature film "Rietland" premiered last spring at the Cannes Film Festival. Producer Marleen Slot kept a diary for Cineville. The film, directed by Sven Bresser, was selected for the Semaine de la Critique, a competition for emerging filmmakers. Marleen Slot shares her experiences of the preparations, the premiere, and the activities surrounding the festival. She describes working with international publishers and distributors, and the tension and excitement surrounding the premiere. The film received a standing ovation, which was an emotional moment for the team.
