The International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) is opening its 38th edition with a short film program and has announced the competition films, including the world premieres of "Trillion" by Victor Kossakovsky and "Silent Flood" by Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk. The festival, led by artistic director Isabel Arrate Fernandez, is screening nearly 250 films from 76 countries. The opening selection includes "As I Lay Dying" by Mohammadreza Farzad and Pegah Ahangarani. The festival takes place from November 13 to 23 in Amsterdam.
