The International Short Film Jury, comprised of Douwe Dijkstra, Vytautas Katkus, and Anne Verbeure, has announced the winners of its short film competitions. Felipe Casanova won the International Short Film Competition with his film "O Rio de Janeiro Continua Lindo," set during Rio's carnival and addressing themes of police brutality and state racism. Émilien Dubuc received a Special Mention for "Odamado," a film that explores the boundaries between biotechnology and cinema by encoding memories in DNA.
