At the end of 2026, the NPO will broadcast the series "Grand Hotel aan Zee," the first Dutch romantic costume drama. Set between 1912 and 1919 in a luxurious Noordwijk seaside hotel, the series follows hotel owner Sandra as she strives to make her hotel a top destination for the European elite. Written by Astrid van Keulen and directed by Aniëlle Webster, the series interweaves the lives of hotel guests, staff, and villagers with intrigue and drama. An elaborate studio set has been built for the hotel interior.
