The Italian audiovisual sector will have grown to a value of €16.3 billion in 2024, a 9% increase compared to the previous year. This growth, presented at the MIA by Chiara Sbarigia of the APA, is primarily driven by linear television and online video. Despite rising production costs and a decline in original scripted content, linear TV remains the sector's most important source. The study also highlights a shift toward a product-driven model and the rise of short-form content on platforms like TikTok and Instagram.
