Netflix has begun filming the Dutch series "Toos," based on the 1982 kidnapping of Toos van der Valk. Lies Visschedijk plays Toos, and Frank Lammers plays her husband, Gerrit, in this series about the famous Van der Valk hotel empire. The series, produced by Submarine and directed by Inti Calfat and Dirk Verheye, explores the impact of the kidnapping on the family and their business. "Toos" is expected on Netflix in 2026.
