Liv Ullmann will receive a career award from the European Film Academy at the 38th European Film Awards on January 17, 2026, in Berlin. Ullmann, known for her collaborations with Ingmar Bergman, including the 1966 film "Persona," has both acted in and directed several films. She has also worked with directors Jan Troell and Mauro Bolognini. Her directorial debut was the 1992 film "Sofie." The European Film Academy recognizes her contribution to European cinema.
