Ireland announced new tax measures in its 2026 Budget to position itself as a leading hub for high-quality VFX and digital production. These measures include an increase in the tax relief for VFX work to 40% for productions with at least €1 million in eligible expenditure, and an expansion and enhancement of the existing digital games tax credit. Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe and Screen Ireland welcomed these developments, which should strengthen Ireland's competitive position in the creative industries.
