In response to the "Op hiel staan en kleingemaakt" (Put on Heels and Made Small) study from Utrecht University, which exposes structural inequality in the film industry, ACT Acteursbelangen and Vrouwen in Beeld (Women in the Picture) are taking action. The study reveals inequality in roles, pay, and input between men and women. In response, the organizations are organizing meetings, including presentations and communication training, and holding discussions with stakeholders. They have also launched a campaign based on the Smurfette principle.
