The Netherlands Film Festival kicks off its 45th edition in Utrecht, running from September 26th to October 3rd. The opening film is "Voor de Meisjes" (For the Girls) by Mike van Diem, based on the novel "We Do What We Can" by Lykele Muus. The film, starring Noortje Herlaar and Fedja van Huêt, tells the story of two families on a ski holiday in Austria, where a tragic accident puts their relationships under pressure.
