The British Film Institute (BFI) has announced a £150 million ($204 million) National Lottery funding plan for the period 2026-2029. This amount, a 10% increase from the previous period, will be invested in British film culture and industry. The plan includes the creation of BFI Skills Clusters, the Open Cinemas fund to attract new audiences to independent cinemas, and funding for award-winning films such as "Santosh," "My Father's Shadow," and "Pillion."
