The new MAX drama series "Rust en Vreugd," based on the book by Hendrik Groen and directed by Tim Oliehoek with a screenplay by Tamara Bos, premieres on September 28th during the Netherlands Film Festival at Kinepolis Utrecht. The series follows Emma (Annet Malherbe), who inherits a small garden in an allotment complex after her husband's death, where she faces rivalry and a power struggle. "Rust en Vreugd" is competing for a Golden Calf and will air on NPO 1 starting in March 2026.
