Tote Tiere Maarten's project "Influenza" will premiere at the 2025 Netherlands Film Festival. Influenza is a parody of influencer culture, in which a revived dead cormorant wants to become human and shares its transformation via Instagram. Maarten, who has been making 3D scans of dead animals for years, saw the project go viral on Instagram. The interactive aspect of the project allows followers to influence the story's direction. Influenza will be on display in the Storyspace during the festival.
