The Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia opens on October 9, 2025, with Julia Ducournau's horror film Alpha and concludes with Francis Lawrence's The Long Walk. The festival, held in the eponymous beach town, is celebrating its 58th edition and showcases the best of genre cinema. Several awards will be presented, including to actress Carmen Maura and director Terry Gilliam. Films in competition include A Useful Ghost by Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke and Dracula by Radu Jude.
