More than 3,900 film and television professionals, including Joaquin Phoenix and Nicola Coughlan, have signed a pledge to not collaborate with Israeli film organizations involved in genocide and apartheid against Palestinians. The signatories include winners of Oscars, BAFTAs, Emmys, and the Palme d'Or. The pledge, initiated by Film Workers for Palestine, includes avoiding events such as the Jerusalem Film Festival and the Haifa International Film Festival. The action is inspired by the 1987 Filmmakers United Against Apartheid.
