The film "Loverboy: Emotions Out" won the Audience Award for Best Documentary and, with 377,000 admissions, was the most successful Dutch film of the past year. The film, starring Cyriel Guds as single father Terrance, explores his descent into crime. A sequel has been announced. The documentary "De Wilde Noordzee" also won the Audience Award for Best Documentary in 2025, with 151,000 admissions. The awards will be presented on October 3rd during the Netherlands Film Festival in Utrecht.
