SBS6 will broadcast ten new episodes of the series Baantjer, based on the books by AC Baantjer, in the fall of 2026. Producer John de Mol, who previously produced more than a hundred episodes, is delighted with the series' return. The new series follows the traditional format, with each episode starting with a murder and featuring well-known Dutch people as victims. The cast for the new episodes has not yet been announced. Baantjer won the Golden Televizier Ring in 1997.
