The Dardenne brothers' film "Jeunes Mères" has been selected as Belgium's entry for the Oscars. The film, which won the Best Screenplay award at the Cannes Film Festival, follows five young mothers in a home struggling to decide whether to keep their child or give it up for adoption. This is the Dardennes' first ensemble film and showcases their signature social realism. Four Dardennes' films were previously selected as Belgian entries, but none made it to the nomination stage.
