Film Fest Ghent 2025 opens on October 8th with the film "Julian" by Belgian director Cato Kusters. Inspired by the book by Fleur Pierets, this film tells the story of two women who marry in every country where it's legal. "Julian" is Kusters' feature film debut and marks her return to the festival where she previously won an award. The film, which also had its world premiere in Toronto, is produced by Michiel and Lukas Dhont and stars Laurence Roothooft.
