Joe Caroff, the designer of the famous 007 logo, has died at the age of 103 in a New York hospice. Caroff, known for his work in the 1960s and 1970s, created iconic posters such as the red poster for "West Side Story" and the opening credits for "A Bridge Too Far." He began his Hollywood career with commissions from studio boss David Chasman of United Artists. Despite his success, Caroff never received royalties for the use of his 007 logo, receiving only $300.
