The 1973 film "Turkish Delight," starring Monique van de Ven and Rutger Hauer, will be shown at the Pleinbioscoop cinema in Rotterdam. This screening is special because producer Rob Houwer rarely grants permission for his films to be shown. "Turkish Delight," directed by Paul Verhoeven and based on the book by Jan Wolkers, is the most-watched Dutch film of all time. Van de Ven describes the film as a tragic love story primarily concerned with death. Later this month, the film "A Woman Like Monique" will premiere at Film by the Sea.
