Geneva and Neuchâtel have unveiled plans for cash rebate programs to attract filmmakers. Geneva will launch a 30% rebate in 2026, while Neuchâtel is offering a pilot program with a rebate of up to 15%. Both cantons announced these plans at the Locarno Film Festival. Geneva has also established a film commission, which will begin with a film office under the Geneva Tourism & Congress Foundation. Neuchâtel's pilot program was funded by a project from Rita Productions. These initiatives are in line with other regional incentive programs in Switzerland.
