Tim Smink, a graduate of the Utrecht School of the Arts (HKU), has created a unique horror film with his short animated film "Closing Hour," combining influences from Japanese and French animation traditions. The film, which runs for only eight minutes but feels longer, focuses on mature themes with elements like suspense, blood, and monsters. Smink hopes his work will set a trend for mature horror in the Dutch animation world. "Closing Hour" will be screened during the Student Competition at the Netherlands Film Festival.
