Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group is laying off approximately 10% of its workforce as part of a major restructuring. The layoffs primarily affect the marketing and production planning departments. This comes as parent company Warner Bros. Discovery is splitting into two entities: Warner Bros. and Discovery Global. According to executives Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy, the reason was a review of the organizational structure. Despite recent successes with films like "Sinners" and a new "Superman" film, the studio has also faced flops like "Mickey 17" and "The Alto Knights."
