Talpa and publisher De Fontein are in talks about relaunching the popular series Baantjer, confirms writer Peter Römer. Römer, who continued the series after Appie Baantjer's death, reports that there are serious intentions, but that many challenges remain. The publisher is cautious about the brand, which has been rebuilt after a slump. Römer states that none of the original cast will return. Baantjer was previously a huge success on RTL with high ratings and won a Golden Televizier Ring.
