The American actors' union SAG-AFTRA's strike has ended after nearly a year. A 95% majority of members approved a new contract with major game studios like Electronic Arts and Activision. The negotiations, which began in July 2024, focused on wage increases and the use of artificial intelligence. The new contract prohibits unauthorized voice dubbing and the use of AI to generate new material during strikes. SAG-AFTRA president Fran Drescher emphasized the progress made in AI protection.
