Film theater KINO has secured the continued existence of the iconic Rotterdam cinema Cinerama by signing a multi-year contract with property owner VolkerWessels. Cinerama, which is celebrating its 65th anniversary this year, was in danger of disappearing after ten years of neglect by VolkerWessels. KINO, which has been active in Rotterdam since 2016, is planning a renovation in the summer of next year and wants to start programming films in Cinerama from January 1, 2026.
