Monique van de Ven receives the Career Achievement Award at the Film by the Sea film festival for her contribution to the Dutch film world. Festival director Jan Doense praises her as "absolute royalty of Dutch film". Her latest film, A Woman Like Monique, will premiere during the festival. Van de Ven made her breakthrough with Turks Fruit in 1973 and has since played in many films and series. The festival takes place from 12 to 21 September in Vlissingen.
