The NTR has started the shooting of "Welkom in Amsterdam", a historical comedy directed by Niek Barendsen. This series celebrates the 750th anniversary of Amsterdam and covers nine centuries of city history in four episodes. The series shows well-known historical and contemporary Amsterdammers, played by actors such as Gijs Scholten van Aschat and Plien van Bennekom. "Welkom in Amsterdam" can be seen on NPO Zapp/NPO 3 from October 19.
