During the Annecy Animation Festival 2025, Gaza and Iran were prominent themes, both in the films and in the speeches. The main prize went to the French animation 'Arco' by Ugo Bienvenu, co-produced by Natalie Portman. Other winners included 'ChaO' by Yasuhiro Aoki and 'Endless Cookie' by Pete and Seth Scriver. The Dutch film 'Zwermen' by Janneke Swinkels and Tim Frijsinger won the prize for best short debut. The audience award went to 'Amélie et la métaphysique des tubes' by Maïlys Vallade and Liane-Cho Han.
