RioFilme’s Leonardo Edde announced a R$131 million ($23 million) stimulus package for film and TV production and distribution during Rio2C. Brazil’s federal fund is contributing R$100 million, while Rio’s city government is providing the remaining R$31 million. The package includes financing for feature films, series and distribution. RioFilme will distribute the funds through public tenders. Ancine’s Alex Braga stressed the importance of local collaboration for the investments.
