Michel van der Aa's virtual reality experience "From Dust" has won the Immersive Competition at Cannes 2025. The jury, led by Luc Jacquet, praised the work for pushing boundaries in storytelling and artistic space. "From Dust" offers a musical journey through abstracted worlds, accompanied by the vocals of the ensemble Sjaella. This victory underlines the high level of Dutch immersive productions. After Cannes, "From Dust" can be experienced at the Holland Festival in Amsterdam.
