Diederik Hoekstra has been appointed as the new director of the LUX film theater in Nijmegen. He succeeds Michiel Nannan, who has been interim director since November 2024. Hoekstra comes from VPRO, where he held various marketing positions and contributed to the brand's recognizability. He has a background in Modern Asian History and experience in the film sector through CineCrowd. His appointment coincides with the 25th anniversary of LUX and the renovation of the café-restaurant.
