The film "Têtes Brûlées", directed by Maja-Ajmia Zellama, has been selected for the Sydney Film Festival after its world premiere at the Berlinale where it received a special mention. The film, starring Safa Gharbaoui and Mehdi Bouziane, tells the story of 12-year-old Eya as she copes with the death of her brother Younès. "Têtes Brûlées" will be screened as part of the EUROPE! VOICES OF WOMEN+ IN FILM programme, which focuses on female and genderqueer filmmakers from Europe.
