Philip Glass, the influential American composer, will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award during the concert 'Minimalism in Motion: Glass, Nyman and Beyond' on October 16, 2025. The concert, part of the WSA Film Music Days at Film Fest Gent, will mark his contributions to film music with works such as 'Koyaanisqatsi' and 'The Hours'. The Brussels Philharmonic, conducted by Dirk Brossé, will perform his music. Known for his minimalist style, Glass has also innovated film music and influenced various artists and genres.
