The Visions du Réel film festival in Switzerland, taking place from 4 to 13 April 2025, will feature 31 Swiss productions and co-productions, including the opening film "Blame" by Christian Frei. Frei, who was the first Swiss filmmaker to be nominated for an Oscar in 2002, will present a film that challenges misinformation surrounding COVID-19. The festival will showcase a wide range of Swiss films, ranging from documentaries to docu-fiction. Switzerland offers filmmakers various sources of funding, including the Film Investment Refund Switzerland (PICS), which reimburses up to 40% of production costs.
