Minister Eppo Bruins (Media) has decided that broadcaster NTR, known for programs such as Dream School and Het Klokhuis, will disappear in a major round of cutbacks. NTR director Lucas Goes is shocked by this unexpected news and fears for the jobs of the four hundred employees. Bruins states that the educational tasks for youth will be retained within the remaining four to five broadcasting houses. The reform of the public system must be completed in 2029. Goes criticizes the decision as a loss for the public broadcaster.
