The Movies that Matter Festival 2025, taking place from 21 to 29 March, will present a wide range of Dutch documentaries. Among the featured films are "The Promise" by Daan Veldhuizen, which sheds light on the broken promise of the Netherlands to West Papua, and "The Garden of Earthly Delights" by Morgan Knibbe, about the struggle of a boy in an Asian slum. Other notable films include "The Coriolis Effect" by Petr Lom and "Mister L." by Thomas Stokmans. In addition, three short films are in competition, including "Barlebas" by Malu Janssen.
