The experimental documentary "L'Arbre de l'Authenticité" by director Sammy Baloji has been selected for the Highlights section of Visions du Réel. The film, which previously won the Special Jury Award at the Rotterdam International Film Festival, is set around the Yangambi INERA Research Station on the Congo River. It explores themes of knowledge, power and ecological stigma from the perspective of colonial history, focusing on scientists Paul Panda Farnana and Abiron Beirnaert. The production is by Rosa Spaliviero for Twenty Nine Studio & Production.
