Visions du Réel, a leading European documentary festival, presents a record number of 154 films from 57 countries for its 56th edition. The festival, which takes place in Nyon, Switzerland from 4 to 14 April, features 88 world premieres and a strong representation of first-time filmmakers. Artistic director Emilie Bujès emphasises the diversity and international reach of the festival. Among the standout films are "Anamocot" by Marie Voignier and "Shifting Baselines" by Julien Elie. The festival opens with "Blame" by Christian Frei.
