The shooting of the fictional series 'Breendonk', starring Koen De Bouw and his son Jolan, has started. The series, set in Flanders during the Second World War, follows the story of Elisabeth and Rik, a young couple who are driven apart by the war. Elisabeth joins the resistance, while Rik and his father Leon end up in the SS prison Breendonk. Kevin Janssens and Filip Lenaerts wrote the screenplay and are directing the series.
