Swiss documentary film festival Visions du Réel has unveiled the 23rd edition of its industry programme, featuring 28 projects from 28 countries. A record number of female directors are involved, with 75% of the works directed or co-directed by women. The festival continues to support voices from the Global South, with 40% of the projects coming from directors and producers from countries with low production capacity. The projects are presented in four categories: VdR-Pitching, VdR-Work in Progress, VdR-Rough Cut Lab and VdR-Development Lab. The festival is known as a launching pad for new talent, with almost half of the projects directed by debutants.
