At Berlinale 2025, two Dutch short films, 'Koki, ciao' by Quenton Miller and 'Mother's Child' by Naomi Noir, have been selected for the Shorts competition. These films, which experiment with form and evoke a rich world, are among the highlights of the festival. In addition, three Dutch co-productions were screened. Despite the strong representation in the short film category, the Netherlands is absent from the longer film categories of Berlinale, unlike Belgium and Denmark, which are represented with multiple films.
